Larry Brister One Tough Athletic Linemen At Jefferson High – Come Join Us At Air One Linemen’s Camp

This past weekend I was lucky enough to be invited to help out with the linemen group at the Air One Football Camp in Portland, Oregon where I live.  First Team All American QB John Charles was once again at it and many of the top QB’s and wide receivers were in the house.  Guys like Jonathan Boland (Parkrose), Sam Davis (Grant), Nolan Henry (Union), and Kimane Domena (Roosevelt) were in the house and that group represents a good majority of the Fab 10 Qb’s list we are working on for the 2015 Class.  This is going to be a magical year for QB fans as the talent level in these 4 kids and the others in the Region is almost unprecedented.  At least to have so many so good.

Now you know I was there working out with the Linemen.  Yes! The Linemen are back at Air One Football and it was a great group of a dozen hard nosed kids who had come out to get things going last Sunday on short notice.  Camps will be Sunday for 8th to 12th graders and can be signed up for at www.BigWarriors.com.  The College level line coaches did a great job as did the boys.  And we found some rising stars as we always do and some tough nosed kids too.  We will be featuring a few of these guys the next few weeks and as more and more kids make it out more of them will make our prospect lists as well.

Here is the first kid we want to cover-

Larry Brister from Jefferson is one of the kids that made it out to the Linemen camp at Air One.  He came in at 6’2″- and about 230 lbs and showed right off an explosive frame that can move and rotate.  That leads to power in the trenches.  Larry is focused on improving and was absorbing the Coaching very well and immediately repping the skills. His pad level was great and he looked comfortable in a both Defensive and Offensive line drills.

Brister was All City for the PIL as a linemen and we can see why.  Very good athlete with a lot to offer.  He could easily be a defensive end and or middle linebacker and his wide muscular frame can clearly be an empty canvas to build on.  His respect for the other guys and team oriented demeanor is the stuff of champions.  As of right now he is moving onto our Rising Stars Prospect List for 2015.  We like Larry Brister a lot.

Look for more stories in the coming days on more big men and come out this Sunday and join the big men.   The drills are fun, intensive, and the coaches are stressing technique.  Do not expect to come and have 15 minutes of drills and then have 40 minutes of undisciplined non-padded 1-1’s.   This is a progressive learning environment that will build upon itself week by week.  There is a maximum of 30 spots at the camp and when they are full they are full.  Star linemen to beginners are welcome and all will be taught and matched up equally.  Hope to see you out there.

Feb 2nd there will be no camp but on February 9th when camps resume for the balance of the Spring things are going to really heat up!

Way to go Air One and Linemen in attendance!  Hit up BigWarriors.com for your registration and ticket to camp!  You may also come out to camp provided the waiver is signed in advance.
