Look Who’s Back In 2011 – A List Of All Returning All-GSHL Football Players

While you may never know it by the weather outside, it’s almost June and that means Spring Football Practice!

Most of the Greater St. Helens League Football teams will begin their Spring Football Practices on Tuesday as we start to gear up for September 2nd and the kickoff of the 2011 WIAA High School Football season. The 17 GSHL schools will have a total of 58 players who earned All-League honors in 2010 back for the 2011 season with all but 1 school having at least 1 returning All-GSHL player.

Skyview brings back the 4A GSHL's top WR in Junior Reiley Henderson (#3) - 33 rec. 566 yds 8 TD, the top RB in Senior Parker Henry (#42) - 214 rush. 1290 yds 16 TD, and the top QB in Senior Kieran McDonagh (not in picture) - 102/142 1545 yds 24 TD

Skyview leads all GSHL schools with 7 returning All-GSHL players this Fall including last years top 4A GSHL rusher (Parker Henry – 1290 yds 16 TD), passer (Kieran McDonagh – 1545 yds 24 TD) and receiver (Reiley Henderson – 566 yds 8 TD). Prairie leads all 3A schools with 5 All-GSHL returners including QB Colin Seitz who passed for 1650 yds and 12 TD last season. In the 2A GSHL, look for all 5 squads to improve as they all bring back at least 3 All-GSHL players, while Hockinson and Mark Morris each bring back 6. The Monarchs will be looking for their 3rd straight 2A GSHL Title, while the Hawks hope their returning talent will help them bounce back from an unexpected 2-8 season in 2010. R.A. Long will look to Sophomore speedster Jacob Yordy to get the Jacks their first League Title since 1995.
