Mitchell Modjeski Has Prolific Year As Does Clackamas

Mitchell Modjeski is going to be showcasing his talents tomorrow at Noon live from Reser Stadium as the Clackamas Cavaliers (13-0) take the field against South Medford (12-1) in the OSAA 6 A State Football Championships.  Modjeski, the Clackamas Senior QB,  has had one prolific season throwing for 3,025 passing yards, 31 touchdowns.

With some of the best receivers in the Pacific NW in his camp, he has lit it up night after night. Cole Turner led the region with 73 catches for 1,282 yards and 18 touchdowns.  The 6’6″ phenom WR is as good as they come and is verbally committed to Nevada but has offers from OSU and others.

Aric Bergers (610 yards , 1 TD), Chad Bletko (511 yards, 8 TD’s) and Thomas Tolonen (398 yards, 2 TD’s) will provide the rest of the targets and all can break a game open.  When those guys aren’t taking to the air the Cavs running backs are punding the ground led by James Millspaugh (1,287 yards and 32 TD’s) and Nick Vaughn (780 yards and 13 TD’s).  The offensive attack is very potent!

Modjeski (6’2″-195 lbs) also has these stats to boast:

  • 194/260 passing – 74.5% completion percentage
  •  Average Completion of 15.6 yards
  • 233 yards per game passing
  • 5 Interceptions on the season
  • 144.6 Qb Rating = Best In Region
  • 117 yards Rushing, 3 TD’s

He is unheralded and as far as I can see he has not been seeking attention by tweeting his successes all over the place.  The work seems to be his main concern and right now he is 1 game away from the dream of having a State Title with the Team and finishing perfect!

He is #1 in the State – check out his highlight film right here at NWPR!

I never saw this until today. Thanks for writing this article. With as well as Mitchell did his senior year and being selected first team all state and offensive player of the year, why do you think he never received any offers? Too late to get noticed? He talked with some small schools and was offered a preferred walk on from Oregon and PSU but that’s it? It’s a shame that he was overlooked.
