The Oregon Ducks have been getting more and more picky about the quality of their recruits which is inevitable. There are however some of the best athletes in the Nation here in the Pacific Northwest and the Ducks football staff are paying notice and making offers to boot. They recently offered Lakes High School Junior Cedric Dozier who spoke with us about that.
Dozier came into last week with Oregon State, Washington, and Cal all leading the way. he added Arizona State to his list of suitors recently.
That lead to a visit to his High School by Oregon Coach John Neal and that is when the Ducks made their pledge known.
“Coach Neal came to the school and we talked and caught up on everything. That led to a discussion about Oregon and the offer they made me,” he said.
How is he feeling about the runner up to the BCS Championship this year?
“You know I had sort of written off the Ducks but the offer is nice to have. Meeting Coach Neal and getting to know him has helped. He is a real cool guy and he has rekindled my interest in them,” he added.
He said that Neal told him he is most likely a candidate for the defensive secondary but that other opportunities might exist.
