PIL Stars and Underclassmen to Watch: Project PIL

The PIL is a league that has put out some of the best football players ever to come from the State of Oregon.  In fact one could say the best of the best.  Such players as the great Mel Renfro and Terry Baker from Jefferson High School, Ndamukong Suh of Grant, Alex Greene of Benson, and Ethan Johnson and Connor Kavanaugh from Lincoln are just a few to come from the PIL and move on the the Collegiate Ranks.

But as the years have rolled along there has been an extraction of money and influence and people in general to the Suburbs.  For whatever reasons the kids of the PIL now often go overlooked.  Media Types do not spend as many Friday Night's in the City rather heading to the now much larger suburban foottball havens.

So as part of our on Going project to identify the best athletes in the Region and this historic League we begin to take a look at some of the very real talent that is there in the PIL.  Our many readers and Collegiate Coaches would be wise to check in with these PIL Coaches and players and in doing so find the next great prospects from this excellent league.

Here are a few of the top Guys to Watch:
