Just a quick note tonight on this “Hump Day” of Oregon Spring Break. Nothing big. Just another Oregonian named to the Army All American Game. The Central Catholic Rams struck gold again with their third Army All American invitee being named today.

In a phone call to his Coach Steve Pyne the Army All American selection committee nominated and selected Alex Balducci to play in the 2012 game next January in San Antonio, Texas. The game is considered the premier game of its kind and one not to miss.

We just spoke to Alex. He was off on an unofficial visit to Boise State today. As soon as he touched down his phone rang. It was his Coach.

“I was pretty much in shock. You know you dream about this but it is always that one you don’t let yourself entertain too much. It hasn’t really sunk in yet. It has been quite a day for me,” said a relaxed but obviously happy Balducci.

From the airport with his Mom they beelined it for the Campus. They checked out the facilities and the Blue turf. They met the school staff and and saw all they needed to see still buzzing from the news.
