Rashaad Boddie Proves His Potential For Next Level
For anyone watching Skyline of Sammamish, Washington this football season you saw the emergence of a pure athlete in Junior Running back Rashaad Boddie. The 6’1/2″ 221 pound monster back showcased his speed, power, quick feet, and soft hands during the regular season. All of that and his film in our view have him positioned as a Top West Coast running back for next season.
This regular season he has posted:
> Rushing Yards after 9 games: 917 (only appeared in second half of 3 games)
> Attempts: 104
> Average Per Rush: 8.81
> TD: 18 with a long of 77 yards
>
> Receiving Yards after 9 games: 463
> Catches: 21
> Yards per Catch: 22.05
> TD: 6 TD, long of 82 yards
Rashaad is so gifted it is inconceivable that major colleges are not looking at him with stars in their eyes. He is reminiscent of Thomas Tyner and while he has not posted a 10.36 100 Meter he has legitimate speed in the 4.5 laser range or lower. Most noteworthy this season is his showcase of plays that have him in play action out of the backfield showing great separation, the ability to get open, and his yards after catch; 22.05 yards per catch average to be exact. He has even lined up in the slot which is a terrific spot for a kid this big as well.
Watch the film embedded below and you will see this D-1 Caliber weapon take hand offs out of the I – Formation, the Spread Formation, pitch plays, and everything in between. His versatility is being demonstrated by the Skyline offensive scheme which has become much more run oriented. Rashaad is going inside and outside and breaking ankles as well as running over multiple defenders. It is quite a showcase he has created so make sure to watch it!
The only thing to wonder now is who will be first to offer?
