So many camps and so many options! How does one sort it all out?
Remember the simple precepts we preach – time tested and NWPR approved to be the best bang for your buck.
1) College Coaches rarely if ever attend showcase camps- if they are there this is your only best option.
2) Try and attend Camp where Major Media (Scout, NWPR, NEI, 247 Sports, Oregonian, Seattle Times) are showing up.
3) Watch the Numbers. Hard to stand out where reps are hard to get.
4) Combines have little value- testing results can hurt or help but not needed to be recruited.
5) Work on skill development.
This year we posted our list of 5 Must Attend Football Camps- Read That Here-
If you made one or more of these events, and many of you did, you know they were all excellent in many ways. Some offered the chance to win a down or two against the best of the best. Others had NFL coaches or the special opportunity to see inside the collegiate world of big time football.
There is one camp left worthy of your attendance and as it turns out it may be the best camp.
The Rough Diamonds Football Camp is going to be held June 28th, 2015 at Interlake High School. At this camp we will see Collegiate Coaches from over 30 colleges show up and Coach; same as the NWEFC Camp and a couple others.
But some important distinctions needs to be understood. They are as follows:
30 plus Colleges include Mountain West, Big Sky, D2, NAIA, D3, and JUCO- a few others
The Big name schools (PAC 12) are not there – but they are almost done recruiting for 2016.
98% of Recruits left will be competing for a spot at the schools coming to this camp- this is the “Fit” all prospects need.
There are 4 Sessions- By Position- and this means a long hard look at each group.
Coaches will be at Camp all day- you will get reps beyond reps.
This is the #LastBestCamp of 2016 until TrenchCamp which is for our big guys in July. We want all top prospects and hopefuls at camp- we will be there all day and interviews and head shots are going down big time! After this NWPR has our database set for the most part for the 2015 season and 2016 and 2017 Class lists. We want you there if you can make it.
Thanks to all our Camp partners- it has been a wild ride and a good one and this RDAF Camp is a perfect way to end the run! We hope to see you there and want you to TWEET your commitment to come using #RDAF; our prelminary Camp Lists are being sent to Coaches every 2 Days leading up to Camp! See the List of confirmed top prospects right here!
