Sam Inos Of Oregon Power Tigard Lands EWU Offer

The Tigard Tigers almost ran the table last season falling just short at the hands of Central Catholic who became the eventual Oregon 6A State Champs. The Tigers were loaded with talent last season and had guys like QB Jett Even , running back / line backer AJ Hotchkins, and pure athlete Manu Rasmussen. During the season we also saw the rise of wide receiver / free safety Sam Inos; a superbly talented Junior who tore it up on both sides of the ball. While college recruiters may have been watching the Seniors they were no doubt keeping an eye on Sam as well.

Yesterday Sam called to confirm that he in fact has been busy lately with the recruiting process as a number of schools have moved in on him. One in particular, Eastern Washington University, decided they liked him so much they made him an offer! The Eagles have been super busy making offers this year to several of the Regions best kids and Inos is surely one of those. They landed Manu Rasmussen which will prove big for him and them and they like these tough and talented Tigard kids apparently.

We caught up to Sam who we have covered in the past and did a little NWPR Q & A:

NWPR: Sam tell us about the offer. How did it happen?

Sam Inos: Well I have been in touch with there QB Coach Zak Hill and we have been talking and they watched my film as a whole staff . I called their Head Coach Beau Baldwin on the phone today and we spoke about things and he told me they decided to pull the trigger and offer me!

NWPR: Wow that is awesome! Have you been up to Cheney to see EWU?

Sam Inos: I was over there for an unofficial visit for spring break so I met a couple of the coaches and I’m hoping to go back up for their Spring game so I can meet all of them and some of the players too.

NWPR: So we have to ask you how it feels? We have spoken in the past and like most kids you were wondering if you had done enough to get an offer.

Sam Inos: It feels great to finally get that first offer; especially coming from such a great program. They are really a first class program!

NWPR: What about other schools Sam?

Sam Inos: Other schools I have been in touch with are OSU, Idaho, and Montana and I have also been getting calls from some other schools. I am hoping things continue to pick up this spring.

NWPR: Good luck on the road ahead Sam. You certainly earned the great offer from EWU.

Sam Inos: Thank you guys and I will be in touch as things develop.
