The Evergreen state has added one of the top hooping machines on the west coast in Shaqquan Aaron.  The 6’7” 180 pound junior jumping jack is playing at powerhouse Rainier Beach this winter.  Shaqquan sat out his Sophomore season because of eligibility problems, after transferring from prestigious Mater Dei high in California to Taft high, in the Los Angeles area.

Shaqquan is a 4 Star Recruit who will be a huge factor for Ranier Beach this season.

Aaron was a 1st team all-state choice as a freshman in leading Mater Dei to the division 1 state title and compiling a remarkable 32-3 record.  Rivals ranks him as a highly touted 4 star recruit.  The high flyer has offers from such schools as Syracuse, UConn,  Arizona, UCLA,  St Johns and Washington.
He joins an already talented Beach team that returns all but one player (Kansas guard Anrio Adams) from their state 3A championship team.
Cheetah quick 5’10” senior guard Marquis Davis leads those returners.  Davis was the 3A tournament MVP last year.   Guards Will Dorsey and Naim Ladd, as well as big’s Elijah Foster, DJuan Piper and Fuquan Niles all will help bolster an ultra explosive Vikings ball club this year.
The silky smooth swing-man didn’t miss a beat in his opener for the Vik’s.   Aaron rolled up 24 points, dished out 12 assists and snatched 6 rebounds in a 110- 52 win over Ingraham.  The high riser tallied 10 points in Rainier Beach’s 84-57 win over West Seattle. Look for really big things from this Vikings club this year, they are fully loaded!
One game to watch for is their January 21st tussle vs. Bothell, the current #1 squad in the 4A ranks.
