It seems like we just hung up the cleats on the 2015 season and the Class of 2016 is still finishing up. But that does not mean colleges are sleeping on younger guys. One of the athletes in Oregon we have covered this past year, Talanoa Hufanga of Crescent Valley in Corvallis, just had his stock rise way to the top of the 2017 Class. An offer from Pac 12 Utah is the reason for that.
Your going to see why the UTES like this guy so much if you watch his film. He is a freakish athlete and plays both QB and Strong Safety. We know big schools recruit athletes first and this guy is a special one. While he does not know yet where they want to use him he did comment on the offer.
“Coach Justin Ena was the coach who offered me and I’m just thankful for the opportunity but I know I just need to keep working harder and harder and just very excited and blessed!”
His long arms, explosive speed, and ability to adjust to opponents make him a great prospect. He has several other schools in the hunt and no doubt the early offer from Utah will make the in state schools take a serious look sooner then later. Whatever happens we expect great thing from this young man who represents the caliber of athletes in towns like Corvallis up and down the I-5 Corridor!
