Over the course of the Summer, we were able to see some great new talent and reload our recruiting lists. Nothing beats finding a big fast mover who is ready to move on to the next level and just watching them take off.
Mosiah Nasili-Liu of Emerald Ridge High School is one of those guys. The 6’3″ 280 lb. DE/TE has had some great games and showcased all of the things he needed to for schools at the highest levels to make him offers recently. Today he decided after reviewing things with his family to make his pledge to Utah!
Liu posted this to his Twitter Page. A few minutes later the Utes posted this!
WSU, Wyoming, BSU, Montana, Utah State, and others have offered him. So why now? Why Utah?
1.) I’m LDS and I’d feel comfortable in an atmosphere such as Utah 2.) A great program that’s perfect for D-lineman (my uncle Pasoni Tasini just graduated from there) 3.) My parents and I enjoyed our visit and strongly feel that’s where’d I’d fit best!
We say it over and over guys. Make sure the fit is right. No amount of Hype or free shoes or fancy weight-rooms can make a school the right place for you if it is not. The personal fit for you is the one that makes you comfortable on all levels! Mosiah found his fit in Utah and talk about a program on the rise- wow they can play some football!
He is quick off the ball, has incredible upper body strength and long arms; very tough to block as well. He plays inside out, outside in, and not only sets “the edge” but he is the edge. This is that guy teams not only look for but rely on to win football games. His film is not only impressive but down right dominating.
Congrats to Mosiah who is rated in the top tier of our 2018 best of the NW right here- the Oregon list complete for early season with Washington’s best of 2018 almost done. Catch this future Ute’s film right here-
