The Wisconsin Badgers made a salvo here in the NW the last couple days making some offers in Oregon and Washington. Monday it was Kaleb McGary they went after and today it was Oregon’s Joey Alfieri and Connor Humphreys. The Oregon duo were both offered today and news came from both schools.
“I wanted to let you know that Connor was just offered by Wisconsin,” offered Coach Steve Pyne at Central Catholic.
The Rams head man is no stranger to having a big recruit like Humphreys as he has had 3 or 4 All Americans and is used to the phones lighting up. At the rate things are going his 2014 star Defensive Linemen could be his biggest recruit ever. BUt who knows what will happen next.
Humphreys had just landed Tennessee and Vanderbilt and before that is was USC who offered. So the Badgers of the Big 10 added a new flavor all together to the 4 Star Defensive Linemen’s recruiting.
But the Badgers were not done; no sir. They swooped in on Jesuit High School’s Joey Alfieri and made an official offer to him as well.
“They have been in contact for a while and today they came to his track practice and offered him,” said his Father Phil who contacted us to let us know as soon as it happened.
Alfieri just landed Stanford and has a host of other D-1 Majors after him as a Linebacker / Athlete.
These two boys will lead two super talented squads into the 2013 season and both teams could run the table. Time will tell on that front but there is no doubt right now that they are far and away the biggest recruits in the State of Oregon. The Badgers are looking to stock up on some NW studs and they are not wasting any time in coming after the premier group!
